Over a century ago, pioneer educator Mr. Frederick Griggs imagined a way to bring meaningful learning to people everywhere regardless of distance or circumstance. His vision became a reality in 1909 with the establishment of The Fireside Correspondence School, an innovative model that opened access to education beyond traditional classrooms. As the school expanded its offerings, Frederick Griggs extended this vision globally, introducing Griggs Education to China between 1925 and 1930, and again from 1936 to 1938. These early efforts laid the foundation for what would become a deeply rooted commitment to international education and cross-cultural understanding.

Today, we continue this enduring purpose by living out the mission and key values of Griggs International Academy (Griggs) in all that we do.
