On the morning of May 9, 2026, the leadership team of Griggs China, along with the core management team and cultural advisors from its partner school, Jingying International Academy (Lingshui), visited the Academy of Chinese Wisdom and Cultural Mirrors at Hainan University. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the international dissemination of China's exceptional traditional culture, the international integration of foundational education, and the collaborative development of specialized curricula. Professor Yanchun Zhao, Dean of the Institute, along with key Institute members, attended the meeting.
As a key partner school of Griggs China, Jingying International Academy (Lingshui) has consistently been committed to fostering an organic integration of international educational concepts with the richness of Chinese culture. This visit represents another proactive step by Griggs China to promote university-academy collaboration and to facilitate a deep alignment between educational resources and cultural research.

During the discussion, Professor Yanchun Zhao provided a detailed overview of the Institute's strategic positioning and core achievements. He noted that leveraging the locational advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port and closely aligning with national cultural development strategies, the Academy has adopted "Translating China, Mutual Learning Among Civilizations" as its core mission, with a focus on the translation and international dissemination of Chinese classical texts. To date, the team has completed the English translation and research of classic poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu, and Bai Juyi, and is currently advancing the English translation and digital dissemination of *The Complete Works of Su Dongpo*. These achievements have been widely disseminated and frequently cited in international academic circles, receiving high praise from scholars both in China and abroad. Professor Zhao emphasized that the underlying logic of mutual learning among civilizations lies in shared empathy and shared values. The Institute is dedicated to building a bridge for dialogue between Chinese wisdom and global cultures, thereby enhancing the quality and impact of Chinese culture's global outreach.

Principal Wenquan Du then delivered a speech on behalf of the team of Jingying International Academy (Lingshui). He recalled the initial exchange between the two parties at the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone and noted that this visit was a natural outcome of aligned philosophies and complementary strengths. He briefly introduced the school's background and development plans: as the first private K12 international school in the Li'an Pilot Zone, established by Jingying Group, the school operates under the philosophy "Rooted in Chinese Civilization, Integrating Global Wisdom, Cultivating Global Talent." Scheduled to officially open in September 2026, the school will cover elementary, middle, and high school levels, aiming to set a benchmark for international foundational education within the Free Trade Port. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity for collaboration with the Institute to explore synergies and deepen the integration of traditional cultural education with international schooling.
Mr. Harry Lee, Chairman and CEO of Griggs China, proposed collaborative ideas from the perspective of international promotion of Chinese language and culture. He suggested that both parties could jointly develop international bilingual textbooks, organize campus cultural and arts festivals, establish specialized mini-theaters, and host Sino-foreign cultural competitions. These diverse platforms would promote the international dissemination of Chinese language and culture while enhancing students' global competencies.

Principal Xianjun Wang, Party Secretary of Jingying International Academy (Lingshui), clearly stated in his remarks that cooperation between the school and the Institute is imperative and holds broad prospects. He noted that the school's international orientation and the Institute's mission of cultural international dissemination are highly aligned. Cooperation areas could span curriculum development, joint teacher training, collaborative cultural activities, and international exchange linkages. He expressed anticipation for establishing a long-term, stable collaborative mechanism to achieve resource sharing, complementary strengths, and mutual benefits.
Qiyi Aixinjueluo, President of the Dongfang Yihe Education Research Institute and the school's Chief Traditional Culture Consultant, expressed high expectations for the partnership. He noted that deepening traditional cultural education and promoting the "revitalization" and "practical application" of classical culture is an endeavor of great value and significance. He hoped to leverage the Institute's academic expertise and the school's educational practice platform to truly bring Chinese classical culture into the classroom and integrate it throughout the educational process, fostering students' cultural confidence and humanistic qualities.
Vice Principal June Li, focused on educational implementation, particularly exploring pathways for integrating inquiry-based and project-based learning. She proposed leveraging the Institute's academic resources to jointly develop specialized curricula such as poetry dramas and cultural inquiry projects, transforming classical Chinese poetry and traditional culture into immersive, experiential teaching content, allowing students to experience cultural charm and enhance their comprehensive abilities through practice.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reached a consensus to jointly establish a dedicated project team. Guided by the core principles of systematic advancement, project-based implementation, and international expansion, they will focus on key areas including the development of curricula on classical text translation, the compilation of project-based learning (PBL) textbooks on traditional culture, international cultural exchanges for teachers and students, and the collaborative creation of signature cultural activities. The goal is to swiftly achieve tangible results and jointly create a model of collaborative innovation combining academic research, foundational education, and international dissemination, thereby contributing to the integrated development of culture and education within the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Griggs China will continue to act as a bridge and platform, facilitating the in-depth cooperation between Jingying International Academy (Lingshui) and the Academy of Chinese Wisdom and Cultural Mirrors, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese culture within global educational systems.
