Dear teachers, students, and guests:

Good morning.

It is a privilege to be here today representing Griggs International Academy in the United States as we celebrate the opening of Jingying International Academy here in Lingshui.

The name Jingying means "elite," and I think that gives this school both an identity and a challenge.

Because excellence is not simply about being selective, prestigious, or successful. True excellence is about creating an environment where students are encouraged to grow, to think, to discover their strengths, and to prepare themselves for a future that is increasingly global.

That is one of the reasons I am so encouraged by the vision of Jingying International Academy.

Your own philosophy speaks of being deeply rooted in culture while remaining open to the world. You speak of combining the wisdom of Chinese education with global academic standards and preparing students not simply for the next examination, but to become future-ready lifelong learners.

That is a vision Griggs is very pleased to stand behind.

For Griggs, giving a school the authority to operate under our name is significant. The Griggs name represents a long history of education, international partnership, academic quality, and preparation for opportunities around the world.

It marks the beginning of a partnership.

Our role is not simply to place the Griggs name alongside Jinying. It is to walk with you — to provide academic guidance, resources, professional support, and an international framework that can strengthen the excellent work already taking place here.

And as this school grows, our hope is that Jingying can become a flagship Griggs school in this region.

To me, a flagship school is not simply the largest or most visible school.

A flagship leads by example.

It demonstrates what is possible when strong local leadership, excellent teaching, cultural identity, and global opportunity come together.

I especially appreciate the phrase, "deep roots, flourishing branches."

Students should know where they come from. They should value their culture, their families, and the foundation that has shaped them.

But strong roots are what allow branches to reach farther.

And through this partnership between Jingying and Griggs, we hope students will be able to do exactly that — remain firmly grounded while having the confidence and preparation to reach universities, careers, and opportunities throughout the world.

Years from now, the true measure of this school will be found in the lives of its students: where they go, what they accomplish, who they become, and the contribution they make to the world around them.

Today, here in Lingshui, that story begins.

I am Li Haochen, Chairman and CEO of Griggs China.

First, please allow me to extend, on behalf of Griggs China, our warmest congratulations on the founding and the inaugural opening of Jingying International Academy!

Griggs China is the operational service arm of Griggs International Academy in Greater China, and the Headquarters' on-the-ground implementation team here in China. Together with Griggs USA, we provide comprehensive educational support and services to the Jingying International Academy learning ecosystem — grounded in China's realities, we creatively implement Griggs' holistic education philosophy, carry out the mission of "Inspire, Transform, Serve," uphold the core values of "Dignity, Honor, Respect, Integrity," and truly cultivate every student to become "a seeker of knowledge, an affirmer of values, and a changer of the world."

We fully understand that Griggs has a century-old educational heritage, and its curriculum system and academic advantages are widely recognized around the world. However, for such an excellent international education program to truly take effect in China, we must closely integrate the Headquarters' academic standards with China's educational realities — and that is precisely the core value of the Griggs China team.

As an extension of the Headquarters in China, we are responsible for introducing Griggs' global curriculum, teacher training programs, and university pathway services in their authentic form, while making precise local adaptations based on the characteristics of Chinese students, educational policies, and cultural contexts. We have a professional team that is both well-versed in the U.S. education system and deeply familiar with China's educational environment, capable of providing on-site, one-stop technical support and service assurance — from curriculum implementation to university admission guidance.

Specifically, we work with the Headquarters to shoulder three key responsibilities for the school:

· Localized integration of instruction and curriculum — ensuring that Griggs' standard curriculum is effectively delivered in Chinese classrooms;

· Teacher training and academic quality assurance — regularly organizing joint China-U.S. teaching and research activities to continuously uphold teaching standards;

· College counseling and global resource connection — leveraging our global network to open pathways to top-tier universities for students.

At the same time, we work closely with Jingying Group to coordinate resources from all sides, safeguarding the school's steady development and providing solid support for students' international student status, credential certification, and future overseas studies.

We will dedicate the full strength of our China team, work in close coordination with the school, and fully support Jingying International Academy in becoming a Griggs global flagship school. Together with the school, we will leverage local Chinese advantages to create more distinctive programs, enabling students to enjoy world-class educational resources while remaining deeply rooted in Chinese culture, growing into confident, open-minded, and competitive global citizens.

Finally, I would like to say to all the students and parents here today: Choosing Jingying International Academy means choosing a high-quality path of international growth. Along this path, you have the strong support of Griggs' global resources, and more importantly, the companionship of our China team every step of the way — we are connected in heart and shared in destiny. We wish you all the freedom to explore, the courage to grow without boundaries, and the wings to soar toward your own bright futures at Jingying International Academy!
