FILM COMPETITION

The Rise Up Film Competition returns! This competition allows students to create short films in the categories of fiction, animation, and documentary, which can be entered into the IndyShorts International Film Festival: an Academy Awards qualifying film festival. 

This competition is open to all GIA schools globally and a selection of esteemed individuals associated with GIA will choose a selection of films from those submitted as 'Critics' Choice' winners to showcase across the GIA network. Students will also be awarded with a certificate of excellence. All films can be entered into the Indyshorts International Film Festival with a chance to win $2000!

Students can either create films independently or as part of a Fine Arts course for credit. We wish all our students success in their filmmaking and believe our students will get a great deal out of this fantastic opportunity.
