In his reply letter to Dr. Lamont Repollet, President of Kean University in the United States, in June 2024, President Xi Jinping said:
"The China-U.S. ties have a great bearing on the well-being of the two peoples as well as on the future of humanity. Education exchanges and cooperation, a project for the future of bilateral relations, help promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, especially between the youths of the two countries."
President Xi Jinping pointed out that education exchanges and cooperation are a project for the future of bilateral relations. The core of this concept lies in the fact that the foundation of China-U.S. relations lies in the people, and its hope rests with the youth. Through exchange platforms built by education, young people from both countries can learn from each other and enhance mutual understanding, thereby bridging differences and building friendships, cultivating a solid foundation of public support for the long-term development of bilateral relations.
Wenzhou-Kean University is a vivid practice of this concept. Under President Xi Jinping's personal promotion, the university—from the signing of the agreement to its official establishment—has become a landmark project of bilateral educational cooperation. The university actively responded to the initiative of "inviting 50,000 American young people to China for exchange and study over five years," attracting hundreds of American students to study in China. American student Alessandro developed a "better view" of China after his visit, and U.S. university president Repollet also emphasized that youth exchanges "deepened the friendship." These facts demonstrate that education exchanges and cooperation are injecting understanding and trust into China-U.S. relations at the source, making them a truly "project for the future."

Griggs China actively implements President Xi Jingping's important guiding principle that education exchanges and cooperation, are a project for the future of bilateral relations Since its establishment in 2017, Griggs China has partnered with multiple schools across China to introduce the US Griggs high school curriculum. Employing teaching methods such as differentiation, personalized learning, and project-based learning that adapt to students' needs, it comprehensively cultivates students' abilities to think critically and solve problems, as well as their holistic development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. The program aims to develop students into "Seekers of Knowledge," "Affirmers of Values," and "Changers of the World."
