Lisa Kerr

Academic Director, Griggs China

Lisa Kerr has spent her entire career in education both nationally in the United Kingdom and internationally in China.

After completing a BSc in Business Information Systems Administration and an MSc in Climate Change, Ms. Kerr began her career in education in a special needs school in the UK. Over her eight incredibly rewarding years at the school, she became the Head of Care and is certified in Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Health and Social Care: Working with Young People.

After leaving the UK for a new experience in China, Ms. Kerr began teaching at Kunshan International School. In 2015, her journey with GIA began when she became the Environmental Science teacher in the American Program at Kunshan International School, training in the GIA methodology, which she felt allowed students to flourish as individuals and be true champions of themselves, academically and socially. In 2017, Ms. Kerr was promoted to American Program Coordinator overseeing academics and led the Program to increase its enrolment by 100% over three years.

In 2020, Ms. Kerr became the Academic Director for Griggs China, consulting affiliates and strengthening the network of GIA schools in the region. Ms. Kerr gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Students in Educational Leadership in 2022, further allowing her to promote positive leadership in affiliate schools.
